Head of Internal Audit (m/f/d)

As Head of Internal Audit (m/w/d), you will ensure an independent, objective and risk-oriented internal audit according to the relevant regulatory expectations (e.g. MaRisk, the standards of the German Institute for Internal Audit (DIIR) and international standards (IPPF/IIA). In addition, you advise management and supervisory bodies by systematically examining the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the Internal Control System (IKS), risk management and compliance processes. Main tasks: Creation and ongoing updating of a risk-oriented, multiannual audit planning for all key processes of the Bank taking into account regulatory developments and requirements of the parent company Cooperation with the parent company's consolidated revision, which performs essential parts of the auditing activity in the context of partial relocation Control / implementation of audits: Define audit orders, develop audit programs, evaluate findings, agree and track actions Independent reporting: preparation of revision reports with clear assessments of the effectiveness of IKS, governance and compliance; Management Summaries for Management and Supervisory Board Monitoring regulatory requirements and best practices (BaFin expectations for revision function, DIIR/IIA standards) and deriving internal guidelines/method standards Close but independent cooperation with management, corporate revision, areas of expertise, compliance, risk management, data protection, information security and external auditors Special tests/ad hoc tests for suspected cases, incident analyses, essential process or IT changes. Construction/further development of data-analytical examination approaches (e.g. continuous testing, sampling and data analyses) Leadership, development and deployment planning of your own audit team Report refund to the Supervisory Board Status of findings, levels of implementation and significant risks

You have completed university studies (e.g. economics, law, (economic) informatics) or a comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in internal audit, ideally in regulated organisations or associations Management experience Relevant certifications desirable: CIA, CISA, CFE, CRMA or DIIR certified(e/r) Funded knowledge of IKS, risk management, compliance, data protection and information security Very good knowledge of relevant audit and audit standards (IPPF/IIA, DIIR) and safe handling of regulatory expectations Outstanding analytical skills, judgment, integrity and independence Secure communication at management and committee level in English and German Used in the use of audit management software and data analysis tools
