Visits to animal shelters including expert assessment of animal husbandry and development of improvement concepts in cooperation with the local authorities Advising the member associations of the German Animal Welfare Association in all technical questions concerning the animal shelter Creation of references and guidelines concerning animal husbandry in animal shelters holding seminars, preparation and presentation of lectures on topics, among others on the animal welfare regulations of the German animal welfare association Cooperation and representation of the German Animal Welfare Association in specialised bodies You take over the “Tierheimberatung Ost” (Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia) and work from the home office, which should ideally be in the area of responsibility.

The prerequisite for this position is the willingness to actively engage in animal welfare. You have ideally already worked in an animal shelter or have knowledge of the operation of an animal shelter and the associated challenges. The understanding of people should lie to you and the handling of volunteers should be familiar to you. Professional experience, for example in curative practice, is advantageous.
