Apprenticeship as a Nurse (m/w/d)

In 2020, the new nursing training, which the Bundestag has decided in the Nursing Professional Reform Act! You may have heard of it under the title "Generalist nursing training" or "training as a nursing specialist". Previous names for the profession: health care and nursing or nurse. With the new degree you can work in nursing, nursing or care for children. The degree is also recognised throughout Europe.

The training for nurses at the school for health and nursing lasts three years. It includes at least 2,100 hours of theoretical teaching and 2,500 hours in practice. In order to support the trainees, the main professional practical instructors and the practical instructors who are familiar with the teaching content of the school are at their disposal. In addition, the theoretical training contents are practically taught and practiced in extra periods.

Requirements and Application

The application period is approximately three months before the start of the training. Training begins three times a year: 1 April, 1 August and 1 October.

You should have acquired at least a good degree of real school and have completed a nursing internship (at least three to four weeks or a recognised voluntary social year [FSJ]) and be at least seventeen years old at the beginning of your training.

Practical training takes place in our house. The theoretical training (school blocks) is carried out at the School for Health and Nursing Hamburg (Heidenkampsweg 99, 20097 Hamburg).

Educational grade Nursing specialist

Your training allowance as a nursing specialist / nursing specialist is set by tariff. Pupils receive these collectively trained pupils:

• in the first year of training: 1.340.69 Euro gross
• in the second year of training: 1.402.07 Euro gross
• in the third year of training: 1.503.38 Euro gross

The amount of your entry fee depends on various factors, such as professional experience and place of work. With us you can count on a Euro brutto tariff-bound entry.
