The St. Francis-Hospital Münster is an institution of the St. Francis Foundation Münster and the academic teaching hospital of the University of Münster. We employ around 2,300 employees as a hospital with a focus on 598 beds. About 20 departmental departments and 2 document divisions are used annually. 31.000 stationary and 70,000 outpatient patients treated. In childhood orthopaedics, congenital and acquired diseases of the posture and musculoskeletal system from birth to completed 18. Year of life. In the neuro orthopaedics, the changes in the posture and musculoskeletal system caused by disturbances of the central nervous system are of particular importance. In special telephone hours, small and larger patients from the national care area are supervised. Operatively all large peripheral limbs and joints are treated. Special operating focuses are slate-neck operations, hip joint operations (e.g. hip joint dysplasia), knee joints, feet (closedus therapy according to Ponseti). In addition, soft tissue operations in muscle and tendon extensions, muscle reproduction. In addition to prevention (e.g. hip sonography), postoperative mobilization, in particular neuro orthopaedic patients, plays an important role.
