IT-Expert - Passive IT-Infrastruktur (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. Together with us, you are worried about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. IT-Expert - Passive IT Infrastructure (m/w/d) from now on and in full time at one of our BWI locations. The Competence Center Infrastructure as a comprehensive IT infrastructure management ensures contractual performance through a holistic view of the passive IT infrastructure, from the WAN access node to the connection point of a terminal. The focus is on building measures with an impact on passive infrastructure (leading networks of all levels and ITK rooms) and their repair.

Management and planning of passive IT infrastructure, including initiation, coordination of repairs and need analysis for sustainable solutions

Monitoring of construction measures of the Bundeswehr, from consulting in the planning phase to taking over into operation, including checking of construction documents

Participation in infrastructure and construction meetings at all levels involved and realization of projects, e.g. connection to the WANBw.

Reporting on project and maintenance measures to stakeholders, using reporting systems and knowledge databases

Completed university studies or comparable training with approx. 3 years of relevant professional experience (for training: about 5 years) Advanced knowledge in network technology, security, passive infrastructure products, project management and service management (ITIL), as well as good knowledge in technology-specific tools, MS Office and presentation techniques Embossed customer orientation, communication skills, team skills, motivation, quality orientation and target orientation Readiness to travel and competences in analytical thinking, decision-making and implementation, leadership and conflictability.
