Our collections, exhibitions and programs offer a variety of digital accesses in six museums. This enables us to gain new insights and contribute to the coexistence and cohesion in an open and multi-part Berlin. The area The work area of the specialist team “Restoration” ranges from the conservation and restoration of the extensive collection stock to the assessment of new acquisitions. The team is involved in the work processes of external lending and internal exhibitions as well as in object assessments, preventive conservation, development of storage concepts, pest control and interdisciplinary cooperation.

completed university studies (at least Bachelor) of preservation/restoration or another subject suitable for activity deepened knowledge and practical experience in restoration of paintings Experience in working with museum collections or archives and in dealing with museum databases Experience in international lending and knowledge of conservative care for complex loan operations Experiences with passport and paralysis Knowledge about Berlin's art history Experience in dealing with budgets Knowledge of German language in word and writing, at least at level C1 Knowledge of English, at least at level B2 Remarkable are: Knowledge in another language Knowledge of procurement procedures Requirements: high organisational capability, reliability and operational readiness strong decision-making, delegation and problem-solving competence as well as high quality awareness results-oriented operation and high implementation competence strong communication, cooperation and team skills Ability to constructive conflict resolution Motivational ability as well as the ability to set framework conditions and promote employees: Diversity competence and intercultural and transcultural competences Work on the objects in contact with dust, wood preservatives or microbial particles, for which special protective measures may be required independent movement of partially heavy objects and use of ladders
