System architecture: Ensuring design verification, system architecture and manufacturing processes. Responsibility for the coordination, control and negotiation of technical-technological objectives and key specifications (e.g. costs, performance, service life) at subsystem level for extensive new developments. Cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, manufacturing, R&D areas and suppliers of key components. Represent the associated topics within the project to customers and external partners.

Risk management: Active design of risk management and efficiency for project success. Identification and pursuit of top topics and focus areas as well as cross-departmental security of fast assessments, concept designs, development baselines, feasibility studies and key experiments.

Team management: Efficient professional leadership of the project team and proactive display of action needs based on broad experience.

Development strategy and roadmap: definition of the development strategy for the implementation of the project in coordination with all the relevant R&D, external development partners and other stakeholders. Developing objectives and requirements for the technology and competence roadmap of the participating areas. Screening and integration of relevant state-of-the-art technologies from industry, institutes and universities.

Partnerships and networks: initiate, set up and maintain partnerships and networks with required technology providers. Cooperation with development partners from industry, institutes and/or universities as well as other Zeiss areas.

Information flow and employee support: Ensuring the flow of all technical information relevant to project staff and stakeholders. Methodological and technical support for employees in cooperation with line managers through coaching, mentoring and training.

IP strategy: Ensure the IP strategy in the associated work area by testing relevant foreign patents and securing their own technology through targeted patent work. Cooperation with relevant specialist areas.

academic qualification: excellently completed scientific studies, ideally with doctorate

Professional experience: 7 - 10 years of experience in the development of lithography systems in the technical/scientific environment, also in leading role

Leadership competence: high social and leadership competence (lateral leadership) and a recognised effect as a Role model

personal skills: strong team player skills, enforceable, decision-making, skillful in dealing with conflicts, customer and goal-oriented and have a solution-oriented working style with plentiful self-initiative

Language knowledge: very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
