SAP Basis Engineer - Focus on Authorizations

Our district heating network is the largest Western Europe with a length of more than 2,000 kilometres. We supply about one third of the Berlin households with heat. With the know-how of our 2,300 employees, we cover the entire value chain of district heating – from production to grid operation and expansion to distribution. At high pressure, we work at the coal exit until 2030 and at climate-neutral production from 2045. In this way, we support the Land of Berlin significantly when reaching its climate targets. On the way to this we want to realize a higher proportion of renewable energies and waste heat. To do this, we need to redesign many of our sites and facilities. For the BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we are looking for you as SAP Basis Engineer:in – Focus on permissions at the Berlin site in an indefinite job. We are looking for an experienced SAP base engineer who is responsible for the technical architecture of the SAP base, is designing SAP privileges and at the same time takes over the control of an external service provider for SAP operation. The role is ideal for people with a broad technical understanding and a structured approach in coordinating complex SAP landscapes. Your tasks: You control and coordinate an external service provider for SAP basic operation. You design and develop the SAP basic architecture – both on-premise and cloud-close components. You create, care and optimise SAP rights roles taking into account compliance requirements. You perform authorization checks and support audits. You work closely with application managers and IT security officers.

Your profile Complete study of computer science, economic informatics or comparable qualifications Multiannual professional experience in SAP Basic Administration and Permission Knowledge of the creation and management of SAP rights roles Experience in controlling external service providers and architectural design. Knowledge of SAP system landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, Solution Manager). Analytical thinking, communication strength and team capacity. SAP certifications in the field of basic and/or authorizations are advantageous. Flowing German knowledge (min. C1) and good English knowledge are necessary. German is our main working language.
