The basis of work and order are the decisions in the field of climate protection of the Magistrate and the City Council, according to which climate protection is pursued with the highest priority in the city of Darmstadt and must be given particular consideration in each pending decision.

Implementation and updating of existing municipal heat planning (KWP) of the science city Darmstadt strategic and conceptual planning, commissioning and development of projects and economic considerations for energy efficiency improvements and heat supply solutions in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders Keeping the heat and cold requirements, determining the heating structure of residential and non-residential buildings, recording and updating waste heat potentials and greenhouse gas accounting Shareholder participation and public information Advising citizens on heat supply options Implementation of cost-effectiveness calculations for possible solutions for the implementation of KWP in quarters Development of suitable information and consulting services adapted to the results of heat planning for the respective quarters Participation and control of internal project work groups

completed academic studies (Master/Diplom [Uni]) in the field of civil engineering, renewable energies, building energy technology, physics, supply engineering, economic engineering, or a comparable qualification with interdisciplinary expertise in the field of energy/heat generation and energy management; or equivalent skills and experience in energy/heat production and energy Experience in interdisciplinary cooperation with different actors well-founded MS Office knowledge Teamability, initiative, sense of responsibility, organisational and communication skills Screenability The following are also desirable: Experience in the field of public relations and civil information Professional experience in the field of heat networks, environmental heat utilization, energy recovery of buildings and/or energy management ideally experience in the planning and implementation of heat supply projects Knowledge of climate protection and quarter management
