Key job responsibilities

• Monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing of major systems
• Work within the framework of the EU control network to monitor the key figures of material transport equipment
• Creation of data visualizations for internal stakeholders
• Responsibility for projects managed by the EU control network for continuous improvement or active participation in such projects
• Cooperation with different departments to ensure the correct documentation of all systems and the maintenance of accurate backup copies
• Cooperation with colleagues throughout the company during the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Support for other locations in the EU control network as required
• Interpretation of machine and electrical equipment sketches and development of improvement strategies for IEC-61131-3-compliant code

A day in the life As an automation engineer, you are an expert at your location for the smooth operation of automated systems. You work with automated devices, from conveyor belts to sorting systems, and make sure You work properly. You coordinate the activities to resolve errors or to implement improvements. In addition, you pass on your expertise to your colleague. You make sure that the Engineering Technicians are constantly informed and trained in your team about the troubleshooting of devices as well as preventative maintenance measures to keep your team working on our automation systems.

Basic qualifications

• State-certified:r Technicians:in, training/teaching as an electrical specialist with practical experience or training as an industrial master:in (two years with parallel work experience) and four years of work experience in the field of automation
• Experience with PLC-controlled automation and fault diagnosis for running processes or in an active production environment
• Experience in the maintenance of different conveyor and sorting systems
• Experience in handling material transport, throughput and capacity visualization and monitoring
• experience with at least one of the following:
• Microsoft Office, project management tools and EPLAN
• Contact plan and structural programming of Siemens, Allen-Brady or Codesys SPS
• Ignition SCADA or a similar platform as well as man-machine interface (MMS)
• EthernetIP, Profinet, Profibus and AS-i or other fieldbus networks
• frequency converters, safety gates and input and output devices
• Advanced English and German knowledge in word and writing Preferred qualifications
• Completion in computer science, electrical engineering, industrial electronics or any other technical field
• Working experience within the ISO 13849 and ISO 62061 standards
• Experience in the care of several sites at the same time
• Project management experience with different models such as waterfall and agile methods
• Experience with Six Sigma, Data Analysis or Process Improvement Methods
