For the Project Development team, we are looking for a Senior Wind and Site Engineer (onshore wind) (m/w/d) at the Iqony Renewables at the Saarbrücken site or alternatively in Essen or Würzburg (hybride models possible). As part of the planning and development of onshore wind farms, you are responsible for the location planning, design and optimization of wind farms. You work closely with the IPP Project Management, Commercial Excellence and Asset Implementation teams to ensure the best possible configuration for each project. The creation of the optimal installation plan as well as the selection of the best wind turbine technology is one of your tasks as well as the calculation of the annual energy yield and the losses to be determined in a location-specific manner. Your duties include: Analysis of GIS data to identify potential locations for wind turbines Planning, technical control and monitoring of wind measurement campaigns (including evaluation, e.g. MCP) Detailed wind potential analyses, evaluation of complex yield losses, implementation of demanding AEP calculations Project-specific optimization of wind park layouts with regard to energy yield, sound emission and shadow throw, cost-effectiveness and feasibility according to current technical and regulatory requirements Selection and design of state-of-the-art wind turbine technologies taking into account load simulation data, grid connection conditions and location-specific influencing variables Technical Specifications and Call Management, Communication and Coordination with Manufacturers, Experts and Suppliers Technical support and advice in approval management Creation and presentation of decision bases, maps and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders Supporting the team's technical development through mentoring or Knowledge transfer within the department
