Coordinator for Research Cooperation and Contracts (m/f/d)

In order to strengthen the team of innovation management, we are looking for a:n coordinator:in (m/w/d) for research cooperations and contracting. Reference number: 2026-0096 The innovation management of the DKFZ supports the transfer of excellent research results in sustainable, marketable applications for the benefit of patients:inside and society. The Hopp-Kindertumorzentrum Heidelberg (KiTZ) is a joint institution of the DKFZ, the University Hospital Heidelberg and the University of Heidelberg. KiTZ is one of the leading centres for child-oncological research in Europe and aims to bring innovative and effective therapies for children and young people with cancer to clinical use more quickly.

Interface and Stakeholder Management: You act as an interface between research departments, administration and external partners, e.g. pharmaceutical companies. You coordinate interdisciplinary projects and control coordination and decision-making processes together with the KiTZ project managers:inside and ensure smooth communication between all parties. Contract management and system maintenance: You prepare research, pre- and clinical trials and service contracts, examine them and negotiate them in close cooperation with scientists: women, lawyers: women and administrative units. You also process standardized agreements (material / data transfer, confidentiality). You maintain the DKFZ contract management system as well as other digital collaboration tools and optimize SOPs and Templates. Support international projects: You accompany international cooperation with academic and industrial partners and contribute to the construction of strategic alliances. Protection of intellectual property: In close coordination with patent management, you support the evaluation of research results and ensure the protection of innovative ideas. Process optimization: You develop and improve administrative processes to enable smooth, interdisciplinary cooperation and sustainable research.

Complete university studies (e.g. natural sciences, biomedicine, economics, law, etc.) or a comparable qualification Multiannual experience in contract management of scientific projects, ideally in the clinical or medical-translational environment, is advantageous Very good knowledge of project management, with certification Embossed communication and moderation capabilities in the international environment and understanding of administrative processes German and English language skills in word and writing High self-initiative, structured working and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously Secure handling of IT applications, MS Office and digital collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint, MS Teams)
