Process Automation Engineer (x|w|m) – On-site

We are looking for a Process Automation Engineer (x|w|m) for Sartorius Stedim Systems GmbH. In this role you are responsible for the functional design and industrial software for our biopharmaceutical systems. You act as an interface between process design and qualification. The team is looking forward to shaping the future with you. The job is full-time and takes place on site in Guxhagen (at Kassel).

Develop the design documents in the area of automation and take over review and release of documents with subject-specific content Take responsibility for the development and maintenance of the software of our biopharmaceutical systems according to the ISA S88 design philosophy Develop project-specific automation concepts/software and layouts based on Sartorius automation solutions (SBC, Biobrain, etc.) Work interdisciplinary with other disciplines and support projects in the field of upstream, downstream, and Freeze & Thaw with various automation platforms Take the technical advice of our customers on site during the concept and offer phase of a project and identify customer-specific requirements (URS) Support project-related integration of Sartorius automation platforms in higher-level automation systems such as Delta V, PCS7, etc. Create and maintain system documentation and user manuals Take the functional test and release of the programmed software (Software FAT) Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)

You have completed a technical study in the field of automation technology, computer science, electrical engineering or comparable You bring several years of professional experience in the programming of automation solutions, as well as sound knowledge with SPS, TIA Portal, S7 or comparable tools This is supplemented by knowledge in network communication (Ethernet TCP/UDP) and experience with fieldbus systems such as Profinet and Modbus Experience in high language programming is desirable First experience with biopharmaceutical processes in the areas upstream or downstream is advantageous First experience in conducting technical projects is a plus A structuring operation, very good organizational skills, communication strength and team skills Flowing German and English skills, as well as an occasional readiness to travel (about 15%) complete your profile
