Then we look forward to seeing you! We are looking for an experienced and committed clinical codier specialist (w|m|d) for the encoding of oncological and palliative medical treatment cases. You ensure the complete, regular and timely mapping of the medical services provided. This makes you an important contribution to the quality of medical documentation, to saving revenues and to proper accounting. You work closely with the oncological and palliative medical departments and the professional groups involved.

Self-employed, case-accompanying encoding of diagnosis, procedures and complex treatments in accordance with the applicable coding guidelines and settlement regulations in the transferred stationary, day-clinical and outpatient supply areas Examination of medical, nursing and therapeutic documentation for completeness, plausibility, specificity and accounting relevance Independent processing of treatment cases in the hospital information system and in the coding and performance detection systems used Examination of cases of coding quality and completeness including case release Control and processing of billing and case closing processes and ensuring a timely settlement Support for long-term control and monitoring of laying, restarting and case reunification Preparation, monitoring and post-processing of tests by the Medical Service (MD) including the processing of health insurance requests Advice and training of doctors, therapists and nurses to improve the quality of documentation and coding Cooperation with the medical controller, clinical departments, accounting, legal department and other interdisciplinary interfaces

Completed medical training or a comparable qualification in connection with a further training for coding Professional experience in medical coding, ideally in the field of oncology and palliative medicine Good knowledge of the ICD and OPS classifications, the German coding guidelines and the relevant accounting regulations Experience in handling hospital information systems as well as coding, grouping and performance detection systems Careful, structured and independent functioning Impressed communication skills and a high sense of responsibility Willingness to cross-site activity and continuous professional development
