With Redshift Spectrum, our customers can easily crossy data from Amazon S3, resulting scaling their warehouse out to Exabytes and allowing them to integrate data in all kinds of file formats from their data lake into their analytics. Key job responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of state-of-the-art SQL query processing engines
- Define query rewrite rules and optimize transversey execution time in distributed databases.
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
- Operate a large-scale, distributed service in the cloud.
Basic qualifications
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
