Embedded Software Developer (m/w/d) im Bereich Water Line Integrity Solution

In this position, you will become part of our Electronics & Embedded Systems technology division and support our Water Line Integrity Solutions division from the Embedded Systems division. The focus is on the development of advanced technologies for checking and ensuring the integrity of water pipeline networks. This helps to make more efficient use of the limited resource water and makes an important contribution to sustainability and environmental protection.

Development of software for embedded systems. We primarily work with STM32 chips, C++ and Python

Implementation of firmware and embedded Linux systems. The firmware is developed in C++ for our sensor systems. We develop our software in Python for storage and central coordination and execute them on embedded Linux-based systems. You develop on both systems

Conceptual and experimental work. We are constantly faced with new technological challenges. Before implementing the systems in the robot, you support conceptual work and validate them with regard to their technical implementation

Conducting tests. Various tests must be carried out both on our prototypes and on the finished robots. Tests related to the software that you have developed are carried out by yourself or develop automated test strategies. You will return to development

You'll also bring: You have experience in programming firmware for microcontroller systems, as well as knowledge in more complex C++ projects, FreeRTOS or other embedded systems (e.g. Atmel/Microchip, Espressif, NXP)

You have already worked in larger Python projects or feel very safe in another high-level programming language and are ready to learn Python

You bring at least 5 years of professional experience in both areas

A good software architecture belongs to you as well as an efficient code quality for programming in development projects. Keep in touch with style guides and documentation policies to ensure a team-wide understanding of your work

Ideally, you already have experience with Linux and network protocols

Agile methods in software development and work in a Scrum team should be known to you
