You have many years of experience in remote sensing? Do you combine solution-oriented data sources and sensors? Do you like to work on heterogeneous questions of this time in a multidisciplinary team?

Our team transforms data into knowledge. With the evaluation of air and satellite image data as well as numerous other information sources, IABG Geospatial Solutions generates key decision bases for our customers with the most modern evaluation methods. We contribute to the major topics of this time – whether in the field of (natural) disaster management, climate resilience, environmental protection, energy transition or in the field of safety. The aim is to create high-quality geodata, maps and reports that are tailored to the needs of our customers.

With more than sixty years of experience in the field of technology protection and the qualification of systems, we support our customers with tailored, economically viable technical solutions - from the first consultation, the secure investment decision to secure and efficient operation. Our work focuses on complex customer-specific testing facilities and test infrastructures for often unique tasks at the limits of the technically feasible.

Activity

• Remote analysis of data from different sensors (focus on optical satellite image data) for various projects focusing on climate resilience, disaster protection and safety
• responsible customer-specific information generation to ensure effective monitoring and quality-assured decision-making
• Quality-assured establishment of time series analysis for historical analyses and forward-looking forecasts
• Linking traditional image analysis methods with AI approaches Building integrated solution approaches and automated processing pipelines incl. Efficiency tuning
• Scouting new methodological and technological developments in the field of remote sensing and remote sensing
• support in the creation of digital map products and in the production of reports, reports and statistics

Preconditions

• Completed studies in the field of geosciences, environmental sciences or comparable to at least 5 years of professional experience
• Insufficient experience in applied remote sensing, as well as working with GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and other software products in the geoinformation environment (commercial and open source)
• ready-to-use scripting knowledge to Python; R identifiers and AI identifiers of advantage
• Creative and communicative mindset to solve complex issues
• Very good English and good German knowledge in word and writing
