Development Engineer Mechatronics - System Integration Acoustics (m/f/d)

Mechanical and electrical connection of the piezoceramic modules (developed by the acoustic team) to the analog boards. Focus on extremely short, low-capacity connections and shielding against interference Development of assembly concepts that enable a coexistence of high-voltage output stages (Tx), highly sensitive preamplifiers (Rx) and fast digital processing (FPGA/SoC) without digital noise compromising the acoustic signal quality (SNR) Design of internal signal and power distribution (cable trees, printed circuit boards) taking into account impedance control and vibration resistance Design of internal mechanical shield plates and chambered inner housings (Faraday's cages) for separating analog sensor technology from digital processing Defining the assembly processes for the integration of electronic stack and acoustic section (including specification of tightening torques, adhesive methods and strain relief concepts) Technical coordination between the developers of the sensor heads (acoustics), the printed circuit boards (electronics) and the housing (mechanics) to ensure accuracy and function

Completed degree (Master/Diplom) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Similar At least 3-5 years of professional experience in electronic packaging or the integration of complex devices. Experience with sonar, radar, medical technology (MRT/Ultrasound) or high-quality audio technology is essential Deep understanding of the spatial arrangement of electronic components (3D-Packaging) under extreme installation space constraints as well as experience with Altium Designer for PCB layout and signal integrity Understanding ground loops, capacitive coupling and shielding techniques to protect analog small signals (hydrophon) in addition to connected loads. Experience with robust connectors, soldering techniques and cable strain relief Safe handling of 3D CAD (e.g. SolidWorks) for collision testing and routing of lines. Knowledge of heat-conducting materials (Gap pads), casting materials and their gasification behavior German and English in Word and Writing
