Life is always about becoming... In life it is about going on a journey to become the best version of our future self. As we discover new things, we face challenges, master them and grow beyond us.

Apply to Mercedes-Benz and find the area where you can develop your talents individually. You will be supported by visionary colleagues who share your pioneering spirit. Joining us means becoming part of a global team whose goal is to build the most desirable cars in the world. Together for excellence.

Number: MER0003ZY3 Are you ready to work in one of the most fascinating areas of research & development at Mercedes-Benz AG – the low-volt power distribution?

The low-volt power distribution architecture may be invisible to the customer, but its perfect function is essential for the safety and reliability of the vehicle. In order to ensure and optimize this function in early development phases, the electrical simulation plays a decisive role. As part of our team you will get an exciting insight into the various aspects of vehicle development. As all vehicle components are supplied with energy through the power distribution, you will also get an impression of the development of braking and steering systems. The need to integrate components of the power distribution gives you a comprehensive overview of the entire vehicle and its functioning. You will also have the chance to see new comfort and design features that need to be supplied with energy and analyze their effects on power distribution by means of simulation. In addition, you will get an overview of the design of the high-voltage vehicle and the electric drivetrain, which play an important role as direct adjacent systems and whose interactions with the low-volt system must be simulated.

With this variety of interfaces, you have the unique opportunity not only to explore the power distribution and EE architecture, but also to get to know numerous other areas of tasks at Mercedes-Benz and possibly to discover the optimal future area of expertise for you personally.

To build innovative and impressive vehicles, we also need an innovative and efficient development process that is highly automated and based on precise simulations. Here you come into play: You support the development, implementation and analysis of electrical simulations for low-volt power distribution

You work on modeling components and systems of power distribution

You support the automation of our development tasks using artificial intelligence, especially in the field of simulation evaluation and optimization

You develop your own ideas, actively introduce them and thus convert your theoretical knowledge from your studies into practice to increase the accuracy and efficiency of our simulation models.

As a fully-fledged team member, you are actively contributing to the establishment of the latest technologies in the energy supply of future 'high-end' vehicles, supported by sound simulation results.

Are you willing to accept the challenges and contribute to the shaping of the future of mobility? Then become part of our motivated team!

The activity can begin from April 2026.

Degree in electrical engineering, computer science or comparable, ideally focusing on electrical systems, power electronics or simulation technology

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Very good knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink (especially Simscape Electrical), Python, MS Excel, etc.

Experience with simulation tools for electrical circuits (e.g. Ltspice, SPICE derivatives) is an advantage

High commitment and strong team skills

Analytical thinking and creative-strategic working

Joy in implementing new approaches and validation of concepts by simulation
