As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

The CO GAS Business Applications division is responsible for the construction, operation and optimization of complex and constantly growing system environments and procedures based on Redhat Linux, HCL Domino, Java, PHP, and more. In addition, service-specific IT solutions are developed, integrated and tested according to service design and service transition requirements, as well as specialist concepts for delivery units are created and maintained.

Your profile:

• Completed studies in the IT environment or comparable professional experience
• At least 10 years of professional experience with knowledge in the field of large company structures
• Outstanding experience for Middleware based systems such as Application Server (IBM WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, Tomcat) and Portal Server (HCL Digital Experience) and necessary backend systems (e.g. LDAP)
• Very good knowledge relationale DBMS (DB2, MySQL, MariaDB)
• Very good knowledge of Solr based search engine (Fusion)
• Multiannual experience with AI search
• Very good knowledge with LAMP (Linux / Apache / MySQL / PHP) platforms and systems
• “Gamerical” dealing with Linux based OS
• ITIL Basic knowledge (Change/Incident/problem management)
• knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) of advantage
• Flowing German and good English skills
• Experiences with CMDB/Asset Management Systems
• SCRUM knowledge and experience in agile work
• ADA certification

Your tasks:

• 2nd Level Support for HCL Domino Websphere Infrastructure and Applications
• 2nd Level Support for Aperto Core Media Applications
• Processing of faults according to the BWI specification (interception, error analysis, troubleshooting)
• Creation, installation, testing and implementation of software and configuration changes taking into account the existing IT infrastructure
• Identification of risks, as well as security and security risks
• Support of tools for the established systems as part of the regular operation
• Care and development of technical documentation
• Professional management of employees, trainees and interns
• Participation in IHK exam committees
• Independent development of solutions
