The University of Applied Sciences of Diakonie, from September 2026, is an ecclesiastical university with state recognition. It was founded in 2006 by diaconic companies and the diacony of Germany in the legal form of a non-profit society in order to train and develop young people in social and health professions. The University of Applied Sciences of the Diakonie offers professional bachelor's and master's courses for social and health care. The university focuses on innovative study program concepts with a blended learning system. A central focus of our courses is the systematic reflection and the promotion of inclusive structures in the fields of action of social and health care.

The job is limited for 5 years, 80% of jobs. We offer:

Your tasks include:

• the well-founded representation of the teaching and research areas of medical education and inclusive pedagogy, both in view of theories, methods and professional development, as well as in view of professionalism and practice,
• the development and implementation of presence and online events as part of our blended learning concept,
• the participation in the conceptual development of our courses, possibly together with our cooperation partners, as well as the (re)accreditation of the same,
• the course management of the Heilpädagogik programme (B.A.),
• the application and implementation of research projects,
• active and responsible participation in the functions of academic self-government and quality development.

Requirements for the application are:

• a relevant university degree in the field of medical education, inclusive pedagogy or a related subject,
• a relevant, qualified doctorate in these fields,
• according to § 36 para. 5 University Law NRW at least 5 years of professional experience in an area relevant to the subject, of which at least 3 years outside the university, or a relevant habilitation,
• relevant research experience in relevant fields, documented by relevant publications,
• Membership in the Evangelical Church or a church of the working community of Christian Churches (ACK).
• Experience in the recruitment and control of relevant third-party projects is also required,
• scientifically reflected practical or management experiences in the field of diaceutical and church or in comparable institutions of social and health care,
• relevant qualifications through scientific education, training and training in relevant areas such as in care or case management,
• Networking in the respective associations and specialist companies,
• willingness to network with our partners and cooperation partners.
