The „Herz der Südstadt“ - Clinic for Cardiology and Internalist Intensive Medicine. The Clinic for Cardiology and Internalist Intensive Care Medicine was founded in 2017 and has developed into a cardiological centre with supraregional importance. All coronary interventions (rotablation, shockwave, protected PCI with Impela CP smart assist, CTO) are carried out in the two cardiac catheter laboratories (one of them is equipped as hybrid HKL) with moving imaging (IVUS, HD-IVUS, OCT) and intracoronary function diagnostics (iFR, RFR). There is a 24/7 readiness and a Cardiac Arrest Center and a Chest Pain Unit. Structural interventions are carried out by PFO, ASD, LAA closures and are treated with interventional (PASCAL System). TAVIs are carried out in cooperation with the University Center in this same way. All devices (1,2,3-chamber pacemakers, ICDs and Micra systems) are implanted on site. There is a close cooperation with all departments of the hospital, in particular with the clinic for anaesthesia in the field of intensive care and the clinic for general internal medicine with gastroenterology, infectiology and the pneumological clinic with its own Weaning Station.
