Platform Engineer – Internal Developer Portal

Construction and development of our Internal Developer Portal Conception and implementation of plugins and extensions to adapt the functionality of backstage to the needs of our internal development teams Connection and integration of our existing cloud platforms – including the container platform, the integration platform and the platform for virtual machines – to the backstage portal Development of custom-made UI components and dashboards to visualize services, metrics and deployment processes Automation and optimization of development processes to maximize the self-service capabilities of the portal Close cooperation with platform teams to aggregate consistent and reliable data from different systems in the portal Ensuring high code quality through code reviews, automated testing and compliance with best practices Designing the product vision and the roadmap for the portal in an agile environment

Multiannual practical experience in development with TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks such as React Deep understanding of the backstage platform or experience with the development of plugins for similar open source solutions Knowledge of how to use cloud platforms and understand concepts such as container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes), API Management or Virtual Machines Strong quality awareness and experience with modern software development methods (Clean Code, CI / CD, automated tests) Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and to work together effectively in interdisciplinary teams Hands-on mentality and the willingness to take responsibility for the entire product development – from idea to go-live High interest in improving developer experience (DX) and increasing productivity through intuitive tools Very good knowledge of German and English (min.
