At the Physics Department of the TUM School of Natural Sciences in Garching, scientists research current exciting topics in physics. The working group Theory of Condensed Matter at Campus Garching (Prof. Dr. M. Knap, Prof. Dr. J. Knolle, Prof. Dr. B. Kraus Prof. Dr. F. Pollmann) employs about fifty scientific staff, doctoral students and researchers who investigate a variety of research topics. We develop analytical and numerical methods of theoretical physics to achieve a better understanding of materials and quantum technologies. To support the already existing administration of professorships, we are looking for a dedicated personality (m/w/d) with experience in general secretariat tasks in full time (40.1 hours per week) or in part time at least 75% (30.08 hours per week). Your area of responsibility:

• Assistant professorships with general secretariat tasks
• Administrative and organisational support for personnel and third-party resources management
• Planning and monitoring of budget and research fund management with the help of Excel and SAP
• Development and further development of work and organization processes
• correspondence and communication in German and English
• Organisation of guest stays and conferences

Your profile:

• Successfully completed commercial training or comparable experience
• Acknowledgment of figures, experience in the handling of financial matters
• Good communication skills, team skills and commitment
• Secure handling of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Very good knowledge of German language and knowledge of English in word and writing
• A friendly, professional approach as an interface between students, teachers, guests, external project and business partners
