You are critically involved in the operation, monitoring and future-oriented development of our VCF infrastructure, with a special focus on VMware NSX. The independent installation, configuration and regular updating of the individual VCF components, especially the NSX-T Data Center, is in your hands. You are responsible for introducing and maintaining security policies, segmenting networks and effective troubleshooting within the NSX environment. The careful planning and execution of necessary changes, upgrades and patches in the VCF and NSX context, taking into account all relevant legal requirements, is one of your tasks. Analyze and correct complex failures and bottlenecks in the VCF infrastructure, focusing on network- and security-related topics (NSX). You advise internal project teams and customers in the design and implementation of advanced network and security solutions based on NSX. Creating and maintaining a detailed documentation of our VCF and NSX environment is an integral part of your role.

A successfully completed computer science study or relevant IT training, complemented by several years of professional experience, ideally in the field of virtualization and software-defined networking, or a comparable professional qualification. You have well-founded practical experience with VMware technologies, especially with VMware Cloud Foundation and VMware NSX. Knowledge of other VCF components such as the Aria Suite are a great advantage. The ability to analyse complex infrastructure problems and to develop sustainable solutions in the long term is what distinguishes you. You have a clear understanding of the importance of security standards, network architectures and regulatory requirements in the cloud environment. You communicate safely in German and have good English skills in word and writing. You are a team player, work independently and place great value on a pronounced service orientation. If you have certifications in the VMware environment, this is a plus point.
