The Fraunhofer Society is one of the world's leading organisations for application-oriented research. 74 institutes develop groundbreaking technologies for our economy and society – more precisely: 30 000 people from technology, science, administration and IT. You know, who comes to Fraunhofer wants and can change something – for themselves, for us and the markets of today and tomorrow. The new Fraunhofer FKIE location Leipzig is looking for two project managers for the development and operation of the Research & Testing Laboratory »Secure Software Defined Defence« (S2D2) for defence and security with the focus on operations at the next possible time. The Fraunhofer FKIE, with its approximately 630 employees, develops technologies and processes with the aim of recognizing, minimizing and managing existing risks at an early stage. In close cooperation with strategic partners, the Institute focuses on the entire processing chain of data and information: from profit, transmission and processing to their reliable protection. Fraunhofer FKIE sees its mission here both in the civil sector and in management and education processes in the technical field. In the next few years, the FKIE, with its new location in Leipzig, will implement the construction and operation of a new research & testing laboratory, which is unique in Germany. The main points for industrial research, development and technology projects are software defined defence, cyber defence, cyber security and defence in their socio-economic context.
