Vivantes Wenckebach-Klinikum is one of nine hospitals of the municipal hospital group Vivantes – Network for Health GmbH in the Berlin district Tempelhof. The hospital includes the medical specialist departments of internal medicine – Geriatrie with a total of 136 beds, the psychiatry with a total of 97 beds and the three associated day clinics. The WBK is closely connected with the nearby Auguste-Viktoria-Klinikum, a gradual merger of the two clinic locations was decided by the Supervisory Board in 2020. In the years 2022, the rescue centre and the intensive care unit, the clinics for internal medicine – cardiology and internal medicine – gastroenterology as well as the clinics for general and visceral surgery and trauma surgery and orthopaedics were moved and integrated into the AVK, where a state-of-the-art new hospital building was created in several construction sections.

Station 14 An openly guided station for general psychiatry and dependency diseases with 20 treatment sites each. We treat holistic and trouble-specific in individual and group settings as well as with the inclusion of the social environment of patients/patients. We attach great importance to a broad range of treatments, with the care team integrated with care therapy offers. In the area of dependency diseases, we carry out a qualified withdrawal treatment with a behavioral therapeutic focus and work closely with the search-specific carriers of the district in order to build a far-reaching aid system. The station was extended in 2021 by a pet-supported offer.

Station 16 This station is a protective psychiatric acute station with mandatory care for the Tempelhof district. Up to 28 adult patients are treated. As a priority admission criterion for the protective station, an existing intrinsic and/or foreign danger always applies. The focus of our activity is the restoration of the daily structure and the promotion of the willingness to treat existing mental illnesses. Currently, the station is expanded by the safewards concept – a new deescalative approach in the acute treatment.

Station 17 The open, general psychiatric station has 30 treatment sites. The multi-professional team works therapeutically according to a holistic understanding of illness, in which care is characterized by a high degree of professionalism. The individual reference care forms an essential component - both in the disorder-specific treatment modules and within the framework of the specialized therapy program for chronic depressive patients (CBASP). The independent and co-therapeutic management of therapeutic offerings and care therapeutic groups offers a wide range of psychiatric care and thus an interesting and varied field of work, in addition to the versatile forms of illness.
