Number: MER000487D Being part of Mercedes-Benz means actively shaping the mobility of the future. In the field of corporate research & development, we work on the vehicle generations of tomorrow and develop innovative solutions for securing and optimizing our vehicles. For the development of realistic simulations, we analyze driving behavior under real conditions and develop methods for improving existing data models. Speed profiles are expanded in such a way that typical influences of real traffic are taken into account and simulation results can be mapped even more precisely. As part of your activity, our team will support you in a research project with direct practical relevance and gain insights into the analysis of large amounts of data as well as the development and validation of data-based models. Your tasks: Analysis of extensive datasets from real trips for identifying characteristic patterns of driving behaviour Support in developing suitable methods for transmitting real driving dynamics to existing speed profiles Implementation of partial tasks in Python and integration of results into existing tool chains Validation of developed models based on comparison journeys and evaluation of the imaging quality of different driving situations Support in optimizing model parameters to improve simulation results Documentation of results and presentation of findings within the project team The activity can begin from November 2026.
