The Calegari Group at the CRTD, at institute of TU Dresden within the Center for Molecular and Cellular Bioengineering, investigates the role of adult neurogenesis in cognitive function. Using in-vivo models developed in the lab for the expansion of neural stem cells, the group explores the under mechanisms in the olfactory system and hippocampus. The advertised position is embedded in the DFG-funded projects “SCENT Reg” and “BrainLego” and is designed to provide scientific qualification through independent research at the interface of neurobiology and stem cell biology. .
