Manager Technical Customer Service Light Gauge (m/f/d)

You take over the technical support and further development of the Light-Gauge business with a focus on applications such as coffee capsules, food packaging, cable protection and flexible packaging solutions. You act as a central interface between customers, sales, production, quality, R&D, supply chain and strategic purchasing. You develop, negotiate and monitor customer specifications and ensure that the highest requirements for product quality, surface and coating properties are met. You identify and develop suitable Novelis products with regard to metal, surface and coating properties to sustainably meet customer requirements. You drive forward the technical processing of customer complaints, coordinate corrective measures and develop pragmatic solutions within Novelis and together with the customer. You carry out technical projects from product idea to development and industrialization to the continuous improvement of existing products. You promote long-term partnerships with customers and suppliers and thus make an active contribution to customer satisfaction, volume growth and technological development. You lead and develop an interdisciplinary team with clear targeting, promote a culture of cooperation and responsibility and actively promote the continuous improvement of security, quality, customer orientation and business results. In this role you are close to the customer, close to our works and in the middle of technologically demanding growth markets. You actively shape solutions for dynamic segments such as coffee capsules, food packaging and cable applications and thus contribute directly to the development of sustainable aluminium products.

You have completed technical studies, ideally in the field of engineering, industrial engineering, material sciences or a comparable discipline; Alternatively, you will bring a qualification as a technician with extensive professional experience. You bring several years of professional experience, ideally 5 to 10 years, in the aluminium, steel rolling industry. Experience in quality management, product development or technical customer projects is of advantage. You have a good understanding of metallurgy, rolling processes, surfaces, coating technologies; Knowledge of food packaging, coffee capsules, cables or polymer-based applications is desirable. You communicate confidently in German and English; further language skills, especially French or Italian, are a plus. You convince with high customer orientation, integrity, curiosity, problem-solving competence as well as a structured and analytical way of working. You already have experience in managing teams in a dynamic environment and the ability to actively shape and successfully implement changes. You like to work connected, can balance different interests between customer, factory and production and bring joy to develop people and topics. International readiness to travel from about 30 to 40 percent and the willingness to react flexibly to customer needs complete your profile.
