As a wholly owned subsidiary of the city, Strausberger Wohnungsbaugesellschaft is a central actor of the local housing industry. The company manages around 5,000 residential and commercial units and stands for affordable, demand-oriented and economically responsible housing services.

The housing construction company is integrated into a municipal holding structure, which includes, in addition to the housing industry, the municipal works, transport companies as well as sports and leisure facilities of the city.
