Project management of state construction measures at Kiel University (m/f/d)

Design the future of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel on behalf of the Land Schleswig-Holstein. As a project manager at the GMSH, you are responsible for demanding construction projects at one of the largest universities in the country. You control complex new and refurbishment measures from high-installed laboratory buildings, libraries and administrative buildings to demanding construction projects in the existing and ongoing university operations. From the first project idea to the successful start-up, you create the structural requirements for excellent research, teaching and administration.

Responsible management of complex construction projects from the project idea to the handover Perception of the building function vis-à-vis planning offices, specialist engineers and exporting companies Control of the project stages according to AHO and monitoring of all performance phases according to HOAI Ensuring project objectives with regard to costs, dates, qualities and risks Development, coordination and updating of project and usage concepts Control and coordination of interdisciplinary project teams Preparation and monitoring of procurement procedures by public procurement law Examination and evaluation of planning, yields and invoices Organisation and implementation of user and planning meetings Implementation of acceptances and monitoring of commissioning Control of demanding new building, rebuilding, refurbishment and modernization measures – especially in current university operations Cooperation with ministries, university representatives, authorities and external project participants Identification and control of project risks and the development of suitable solution strategies Ensuring compliance with sustainability, energy and quality standards

Compulsory conditions Complete study of architecture, civil engineering, technical building equipment or a comparable discipline Multiannual experience in managing demanding construction projects, ideally in public construction Knowledge of HOAI, VOB and AHO as well as public procurement and contract law Experience in managing costs, dates and qualities Safe occurrence and negotiation skills vis-à-vis planning offices, authorities and contractors Embossed communication and organizational capability Responsible, structured and solution-oriented mode of operation Teamability and the ability to guide interdisciplinary project teams targeted Class B licence and readiness to travel within Schleswig-Holsteins
