As a data engineer with a focus on databricks, you play a central role in developing modern, scalable and powerful data solutions for our customers. In this job, you will become part of our growing Data & AI team and work hands-on with the Databricks platform to help our customers solve complex challenges about data. Your task includes: Design, development and maintenance of robust data pipelines with Databricks, Spark and Python Building efficient and scalable ETL processes for reading, transforming and loading data from different sources (databases, APIs, streaming platforms) in cloud-based data sheets and data warehouses Use of the Databricks ecosystem (SQL, Delta Lake, Workflows, Unity Catalog) to provide reliable and performant data workflows Integration with cloud services such as Azure, AWS or GCP to enable secure and cost-effective data solutions Designing data modeling and architecture to ensure consistency, accessibility and long-term viability of the data landscape Ensure data quality through validation processes and compliance with data governance policies Working with Data Scientists and Analysts to understand data needs and deliver feasible solutions Continuous training in databricks, data engineering and cloud technologies to optimize our tools and processes

Essential Skills: 3+ years of professional experience as Data Engineer with Databricks and Apache Spark Embossed programming knowledge with Python, including experience in data manipulation libraries (e.g. PySpark, Spark SQL) Experience with key components of the Databricks Ecosystems: Databricks Workflows, Unity Catalog and Delta Live Tables Solid knowledge about data storage principles, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling and database systems Experience with at least one larger cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Excellent SQL Skills for data queries, data transformations and analyses Excellent communication skills in English and German (min. B2 level) Ability to work independently and in a team in an agile environment Beneficial skills: Knowledge about best practices on data governance, data quality and compliance Experience with Multi-Cloud environments Kentnisse über DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform) und CI/CD Pipelines Interest or experience with machine learning or AI technologies Experience with Data Visualization Tools like Power BI or Looker
