Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

Together with software development and IT, You develop a clear technical target for our DevOps platform, implement it step by step and bring the participants together through comprehensible communication. Analysis of existing DevOps, CI/CD and container landscapes and their requirements and dependencies Development of a sustainable target architecture and a realistic roadmap with clear priorities and manageable implementation steps Construction, operation and further development of central platform components for CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes – including analysis and sustainable management of system-wide disturbances Introduction and development of infrastructure as code and automated build, test and deployment processes Planning and implementation of pilots, integrations and migrations taking into account ongoing operations Further development of monitoring, logging, security and secret management concepts Common definition of technical standards, interfaces and operational responsibilities with software development and IT moderation of technical votes and comprehensible documentation and communication of decisions, risks and next steps Advising development teams, mentoring and knowledge transfer

More detailed: You have several years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform, System or Infrastructure engineering. You have profound knowledge of Linux, CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes as well as experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated deployments. You can analyze a heterogeneous system landscape and develop a technical target and a step-by-step implementation plan. In technical decisions, You take into account the requirements for reliable, manageable and safe operation and the needs of the development teams. You actively collect requirements, clarify uncertainties early and make assumptions and dependencies transparent. You convey technical connections and conflicts of objectives in a comprehensible manner, moderate different interests and lead participants to joint decisions. You work independently, develop pragmatic solutions and support colleagues through knowledge transfer and technical orientation. You have good knowledge of English; German knowledge is advantageous for cross-sector cooperation. Experiences with: Construction of technical DevOps platforms and gradual modernisation of historically grown system landscapes Introduction of team-wide standards and accompanying technical changes – from coordination to use in everyday life Architecture and operation of on-premise platforms, including availability, security and observability CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI and Configuration Management solutions Your ability to understand technical relationships, to develop a realistic path to the goal and to implement it together with software development and IT is crucial for us.
