Forklift operators for autonomous forklifts – safety escort (m/f/d)

Your mission

Our forklift trucks are no longer classic with drivers at the wheel: They are remotely controlled by our remote team or are already moving independently through the warehouse.

Nevertheless, there is a need for someone on site who keeps everything in mind as a last security entity and can react immediately in case of seriousness, whether it is remotely controlled or autonomously driven. That's your role.

You accompany our vehicles directly in the warehouse of our customer in Stadtallendorf, keep the environment in mind and are at the place when it comes to it. You don't have to be a forklift professional, much more important are attention, a cool head, and the willingness to pack even if something has to be readjusted on the vehicle.

Your tasks

• You will accompany our remotely controlled forklift trucks directly on site during operation.
• You keep the vehicle and its surroundings in sight and in case of emergency actuate the emergency stop to protect man and machine.
• You raise smaller technical problems directly at the truck, always under guidance and in coordination with our engineers.
• You are in contact with our international remote drivers, including in English, to quickly clarify incidents or queries.
• You report security-relevant events and special events to our team.

Your profile

• You are reliable, attentive and keep a cool head even in unusual situations.
• Technical understanding and craftsmanship are advantageous to make smaller adjustments to the vehicle.
• You speak German (min. B2) and can communicate in English (B1) to our international remote team.
• Longer experience as a truck driver is a plus, but no requirement
• You are ready to work directly with our customer in Stadtallendorf during shift operation.
