The Kindertagesstätte Schmetterlingsgarten is located in a modern new building opposite the swimming pool in Koblenz-Oberwerth. Here, 60 children are accompanied professionally and educationally from the first year of life to the school entrance.

The Kita comprises a crib group for children of 1–2 years and two age-related control groups for children of 2–4 and 4–6 years. In addition to the group rooms there is a large aula, a studio, a workshop and a gym. The well-thought-out space concept offers numerous possibilities for movement and supports children in their creativity and motor skills.

Through cross-group offers, the institution pursues a partially open concept that allows children to get in touch with all ages during the day. Our educational work is based on the situation approach and focuses on the individual needs of each individual child. This allows us to ensure close, reliable and development-related support.

with a working week of 25 hours for our crib group.

Your tasks

Care and promotion of children:- Planning and implementation of educational activities and projects.

• Promoting individual development and strengthening the social skills of children.
• Observation and documentation of development progress.

Educational everyday life:- Development and implementation of age-appropriate educational opportunities.

• organisation and support of excursions and special events.
• Creating a stimulating and secure learning environment.

Parent work:- Regular communication and cooperation with parents.

• Conducting parental talks and evenings.
• Advising parents in matters of education and development of their children.

Teamwork:- Multiprofessional team.

• Participation in team meetings and training.
• Support for the incorporation of new colleagues.

Administrative tasks:- Leadership of attendance lists and educational reports.

• Participation in the quality development and assurance of the institution.
• Implementation and compliance with educational concepts and guidelines.

That's what you bring

Qualifications:- Completed training as an educator, social pedagogue or comparable qualification.

• Knowledge of early childhood education and education.

Educational skills:- Experience in work with children in the age of cribs and/or kindergarten.

• Ability to monitor and document child development processes.
• Creativity and richness of ideas in the design of educational offers.

Social competences:- Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with children and their parents.

• Team skills and cooperation.
• Communication strength and conflict resolution competence.

Personal characteristics:- Responsibility and reliability.

• Patience and stamina.
• Openness for new educational approaches and readiness for further training.

Organisational skills:- ability to work independently and structuredly.

• Flexibility and durability in the everyday life of a kita.
• Knowledge in the handling of digital media and management software is advantageous.
