This makes this place interesting for me: 50Hertz develops the Next Generation Control Center Ecosystem MCCS (Modular Control Center System) to meet the requirements for digitization in the energy transition. MCCS aims to replace classic, monolithic SCADA applications and other operational tools with modules running in Kubernetes clusters and exchanging data via streaming services. Product Line Monitoring and Control develops modules for network monitoring and network control. In total, about 20 product teams in 6 product lines work on the various modules for the core processes of the network operator. In the role of Product Line Architect, I am responsible for the technical excellence of the product teams of a Product Line. Here I work closely with the responsible Product Line Lead and am the trusted advisor. My tasks and my responsibility: Architecture and Design: Planning, design and implementation of architectures for the modules Grid Monitoring and Grid Control with the respective product teams of the Product Line as well as with architects of other product lines in the Product Cluster. Take responsibility for key decisions of architecture within the framework of the MCCS Architecture Decision Body. This includes defining and establishing technical standards for the Product Cluster. Technical leadership: leadership of development projects, cooperation with interdisciplinary teams and leadership of technical discussions on solution-finding. This includes regular reviews of the product teams' solutions to ensure efficient, performant, resilient and secure solutions, as well as the professional leadership of the product teams' solution architects in the product line. Safety standards: Implementation and monitoring of high safety standards within the product line modules to ensure network stability and compliance with various audits (e.g. ISMS, KRITIS). Innovation and optimization: Continuous improvement of the new modules taking into account new technical trends and developments in the energy sector and IT.
