The energy transition is essential and we contribute significantly to this with our outstanding research and work results. We explore and develop new intralogistic elements at both system and component levels. The focus will be on design and dimensioning, taking into account current challenges such as sustainability, energy efficiency and the smooth use of materials. As the starting point of your work, we want to enable you to act autonomously as a cooperative system – in a joint research project together with a start-up founded from the IFL. The development of a localization system and the path planning of the swarm by means of sensor fusion are at the forefront. A flexible and autonomous solution for the transport of large and heavy loads in production and intralogistics is to be explored as well as prototypically constructed and tested to achieve this goal. The material-flow-side investigation of vertical-farming systems for the sustainable cultivation of plants in urban space as a stand-alone and modular expandable building block of intraurban material flows is another research focus in our department. In addition, a special research area of the DFG will investigate the potential to which old devices can be converted into new devices in the so-called ''circle running factory'', with responsibility, inter alia, for the intelligent transport connection of the individual functional nodes. In addition, we are entrusted with the tasks of remote maintenance of future nuclear fusion power plants, e.g. the structure-opt design of highly stressed multi-tube connections (MPC) or the development of measurement methods for non-destructive testing of welded pipe connections (Nondestructive Examination). As part of your work, you will have the opportunity to participate in international conferences and congresses and research stays. There is also the possibility of promotion, which is actively supported and supported by us.
