In this role, you take over the technical documentation and ILS support for extinguishing systems on ships and ensure a standard, understandable and practical preparation of all relevant information. You create system, plant and function descriptions as well as operating, maintenance and repair instructions based on technical documentation and design data. In addition, check technical manuals according to technical, editorial and customer-specific specifications and agree closely with project managers. At the same time, you are responsible for the ILS activities in the project, including the creation of concepts and analyses (e.g. FMEA, ILS, LSA, obsolescence management, reliability calculation), and clarify the scope of documentation with the customers' ILS managers. You carry out inspections to check and evaluate installation situations, usability and maintenance processes. In addition, you will work with the editorial team, taking on project-specific documentation tasks. Finally, you support the introduction of suitable software tools for ILS documentation and the establishment of a material database according to S2000M.

Complete degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or in shipbuilding – alternative technician mechanical engineering / electrical engineering with multi-year experience or comparable qualification Ideal knowledge in shipbuilding, plant construction or pipeline construction Remarkable: Experience as a technical editor in the maritime or industrial environment as well as knowledge in BIM, ILS documentation and relevant standards / standards (ASD, S1000D, S2000M) Knowledge of recognised rules of technology and relevant regulations, laws and regulations in mechanical engineering Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office and ideally IETD and XML Willingness to incorporate into new software programs Mobility, driving licence of class B and willingness to construction sites On-board visits Good knowledge of English (word / font) A high affinity for writing and documenting and a secure mastery of German Orthography is the A and O in this job!
