Geriatric nurse (m/w/d) on our gerontopsychiatric ward

In the MEDIAN Klinik Sonnenwende we combine the special features of old care with the technical possibilities of an acute hospital for psychiatry and psychotherapy. This allows you to use your skills in the care of older people with dementia or other mental illnesses in a targeted way, while benefiting from a modern, multi-professional working environment. In our rontopsychiatric department with 24 beds, you will find a sensory activity that requires both technical precision and human proximity: you will accompany patients in everyday tasks, promote self-employment and quality of life and, together with doctors, therapists and nursing colleagues, create a safe and value-adding framework. You take care of basic and treatment according to modern nursing standards and support our patients in preserving their highest degree of independence. You accompany older people in the special environment of Gerontopsychiatrie on a semi-protected acute station and shape their everyday life with empathy, patience and expertise. With your careful documentation, you contribute to keeping care processes transparent and comprehensible. You actively participate in diagnostics and therapy and are important interfaces in the multi-professional team. Together with colleagues, you create biography work, readers and social games – creating valuable moments of closeness and participation. You pass on your knowledge by directing, consulting and ensuring the quality of the team. You participate in care planning and develop processes that support our patients as best as possible. With your use and attitude, you contribute significantly to the satisfaction of the patient: inside – and make our station a place where care also means relationship.
