Shift management - production: compounding, fully continuous four-shift (m/f/d)

For the compounding/material management/extrusion department at the Schwendi site, we are now looking for a shift manager (m/w/d) – ideally with professional experience in extrusion or compounding.

We work in the 4-shift model with short changes. In this system ''short change'', employees work in a rotating shift plan that includes early, late and night shifts. For example, a month begins with two early shifts on Monday and Tuesday, followed by two late shifts on Wednesday and Thursday. Then follow three night shifts from Friday to Sunday. Two days are then released before two early shifts start again. This means that you always work on a piece for seven days, the layers changing within these seven days. Usually you work on three weekends a month and also on holidays, with the free days usually being below the week. A weekend a month is free. Night shift: From 22:00 to 6:00 Late shift: From 14:00 to 22:00 Early shift: From 6:00 to 14:00 Since a relatively large number of working days fall on Sundays and public holidays in the 4-shift and part of the shift supplements are completely paid out without tax, the 4-shift from a financial perspective is a very attractive alternative to other shift models.

In addition to your work as a machine and plant manager, you are responsible for the achievement of the shift goals and the targeted management of your employees. The daily control, correction and optimization of the orders (in cooperation with the team leader) also include your tasks You are also responsible for personnel deployment planning, qualification and development You conduct regular shift meetings and annual employee talks Conducting disciplinary and medical return calls is also part of your task In addition, you ensure the targeted and sensible use of trainees in the layer

You have successfully completed your technical training and ideally complemented by a further training to the industrial master (specializing in plastic rubber) In addition, a multi-year experience in plastic extrusion or compounding is desirable In addition, you bring the willingness to work in full-continuous four-shift operation With your strong social competence, you convince yourself in handling your team You are strong in communication, capable of teaming and possessing a high level of enforcement You also bring about organisational skills and conflicting skills As a model for your team, you live entrepreneurial thinking and acting
