Number: MER000403U The steering system is now far more than a classic suspension component and has to perform complex tasks. Our team “Electrical/Electronic Steering Systems” is responsible for the development of the required electrical drives including control units and their basic software. We need support for designing and building a component test stand to secure the software of various steering systems. As part of our team, the following challenges come to you: Integration into the control device hardware as well as the associated base software with focus on networking in the vehicle, diagnostic and update capability as well as cybersecurity Conception, construction and operation of a component test stand for automated testing of the base software for various steering systems Implementation of an interface between this component test stand and the Mercedes-Benz internal software database Development of an AI-based analysis to evaluate the test results Duration & location: 6 months The activity can begin from May 2026 and requires your presence at the Sindelfingen site.

Studies with a focus on engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or comparable study programme Interest in vehicle technology and steering systems Ideally prior knowledge of the design and support of (component) test benches Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS-Office, ideally experience in handling AI based analysis tools Additional information: We are looking forward to your online application with CV, lettering, certificates, current enrollment certificate, giving the semester and proof of the regular study period.
