The Volontariat is based on a practice-oriented training which is carried out at our site in Potsdam-Babelsberg. The academic part of the training takes place at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences in several stages after the first volunteer year and ends with the completion as a scientific documentary / information specialist (m/w/d). Within your two-year volunteer, you will learn to analyze various issues of information management in a media archive, develop practical solutions and participate in their implementation in a responsible way. Through our new agile organization you have the chance to get to know and design agile methods and procedures. Your focus of training at DRA: Configuring stock and material knowledge and its application in stock assessment and inventory analysis, documentation and digitization processes and retrieval strategies Machine learning, AI-based methods and semantic standards Insight into the agile and user-oriented further development of modern information and database systems and data-based product strategies Insight and cooperation in the field of metadata management (metadata standards, rules, metadata distribution) Support for projects of broadcasters (e.g. ARD-Mediathek) and programme work Insights into Media and Copyright

Complete university studies (master or master's degree or comparable qualification, ideally in the field of history or musicology) Very good general education and interest in current, media-relevant topics of contemporary and GDR history and society Interest in AI, Natural Language Processing and Information Transfer Basic knowledge of database management, data analysis and retrieval languages Joy in working with media-historical sources Fun to think analytically, penetrate facts and problems and derive solutions Very good knowledge of German in word and writing Agiles Mindset- i.e. for us self-responsible and targeted action Contact joy, curiosity and commitment Proactive, independent learning and testing Ability to reconcile and learn necessary content independently The team spirit for which the team results are the focus Ability to self-reflection and feedback
