Enabler for smaller, more powerful and more energy-efficient microchips

Work where the morning arises. About 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are manufactured using ZEISS technologies. They work within the specialist coating department in the field of optical lithography DUV and ensure that the processes can be implemented industrially

Together with other employees, they develop coating processes for new lithography optics and create important foundations for the production of new plant generations

In close cooperation with other development departments, engineering and manufacturing, they carry out the process transfer into series production and solve pragmatic problems

They develop coating processes and layer designs for thin optical layers, record process and measurement data and evaluate them, among other things, according to statistical criteria

You take responsibility for work packages with the focus of process development for coating a new product

They plan interdisciplinary topics independently and work on them in the team as well as with internal and external partners

You have a successfully completed scientific or engineering degree/master study, ideally with doctorate

They have several years of experience in scientific work, e.g. as part of a doctorate and/or relevant professional experience

They ideally have already established knowledge in the areas of thin layers for optical applications, coating designs or UHV plant technology

Knowledge of statistical evaluation methods (e.g. 6Sigma) or in the programming of scripts for data evaluation (e.g. in Matlab) as well as experience in project management in the development field are advantageous, ideally with a project management certification

They bring creativity and joy to independent and solution-oriented work in an interdisciplinary team and have a balanced technical and social competence

Communication strength and knowledge of German and English in word and writing complete your profile
