Corrector Development Transmission Electron Microscopy - Physicist / Development Engineer (m/f/d)

In our TEM team, you develop new corrector hardware from the design study to the prototypical design to product maturity. This includes the integration of our corrector into the optics of the TEM manufacturer, the basic adjustment of the electron-optical components and the adaptation of the corrector elements for different applications and TEM operating modes. An important part of the work is the qualification of optics and associated electronics in terms of physical boundaries, as well as the search for weak points and their elimination. From the start of the prototypical development phase to the market maturity of our product, you will ensure a smooth operation. Our experienced optics, electronics and mechanics specialists will accompany you with the tasks, while you gradually assume the responsibility for: commissioning and basic adjustment, as well as testing and qualification of the corrector hardware, independent planning, implementation and evaluation of the necessary experiments, documentation of development progress and communication with project partners, independent fault diagnosis and development of appropriate solutions, technical support on site with the customer, independent driving of development projects and implementing own ideas for product improvement, design, testing and active implementation of new solutions within the development of electronics from prototypes to series, creative cooperation in optimizing processes and improving our development processes.

completed PhD in physics or in an engineering course (e.g. electronics) or equivalent degree, excellent knowledge of physics and mathematics combined with a solid technical understanding and a practical attitude, Practical experience with development projects in the context of transmission electron microscopes and the associated understanding of electron optics, knowledge of electronic measuring technology is essential, high quality awareness and a responsible, organised way of working, English language skills reliable in writing and word, Knowledge of vacuum technology is desirable.
