We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (w/d/m), who actively contributes to the group-wide development of our data platform in engineering and implements innovative components.

Your impact in the team: Platform Building - You develop and operate our central data platform: You build a scalable and secure data platform based on Snowflake, which forms the frame for all data-driven applications in the company. You create the basis for data engineers, analysts and data scientists to work efficiently and independently - with clearly defined standards, processes and self-service functions. You’re testing the market and bringing impulses for the further development of our platform

Infrastructure & Automation - You think platform holistic: You design and operate the infrastructure of the cloud-native platform. With Terraform and Github you automate deployments, configurations and operating processes via CI/CD pipelines. High availability, scalability and security are key guidelines for you

DataOps & Platform Services - You automate what others use: You implement DataOps principles, ensure reproducible environments and integrierst monitoring, logging and aging mechanisms. You make sure that new data products can be provided and operated in standardized processes

Enablement & Governance - You are empowering others to use the platform: You develop frameworks, templates and policies that help other teams operate their data processes safely and efficiently in Snowflake. You support onboarding, document Runbooks and Best Practices and ensure consistent platform governance

Further development & innovation - You shape the future of the data platform: You evaluiert new technologies (e.g. dbt, Dagster, Datahub) and integriert them where You create added value. You continuously advance the development of platform architecture and its services - with a view to stability, efficiency and user-friendliness

That's what makes you: Training & qualification: You have successfully completed a degree in the field of (economic) informatics, data engineering or a comparable qualification. You bring multi-year experience in building and operating cloud-based platforms or data environments

Snowflake: You know the architecture and operating mechanisms of Snowflake and know how to build a robust, scalable and secure data platform. SnowSQL dominates you safely and routined

Cloud & Infrastructure: You have several years of experience with cloud environments (especially AWS) and consistently rely on Infrastructure-as code, especially with Terraform

Software development: Software development, e.g. in Typescript, Python, Go or other languages, can be mastered comprehensively. You can safely apply principles like Clean Code and ensure the quality and durability of our platform in the long term

Automation & CI/CD: You have practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and uses them to automatically, testable and understand platform changes

Modern data architectures: You are familiar with Apache Iceberg or comparable Open Table formats and understand their role in scalable Data and Lakehouse architectures

Tooling & DataOps: Experience with tools like dbt is beneficial - you understand their integration into a holistic platform ecosystem. You rely on observability, logging and proactive monitoring

Personal characteristics: You have the pleasure of communicating complex technical topics in a comprehensible way and supporting other teams in the effective use of the platform. Enthusiasm, self-initiative and sense of responsibility characterise you as well as your will to actively share knowledge and to continuously develop the team

Teamplayer (w/d/m): You work closely with Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers and Security teams and actively promote knowledge sharing and collaboration. Agile working methods like Kanban are not a foreign word for you
