The BBR performs construction tasks for the federal government in Berlin, Bonn and abroad as well as cultural buildings, research and laboratory buildings for federal institutions. It maintains outstanding and complex construction projects in the field of design and technical requirements, with high requirements for building culture and economic efficiency. Unit BS I 3 is responsible for the development of two security authorities on a listed area with historical clinker structures. In addition to the planning and implementation of new buildings with around 48,000 m2 of useful space, extensive technical measures as well as the renovation and rebuilding of existing buildings built between 1901 and 1904 are among the tasks.
