The BBK is the head office of the Federal Government for National Crisis Management in Germany. We ensure the quality of crisis management in a central coordination role with federal, international and cross-sector partners. In view of this task, our interdisciplinary team is growing steadily. We are looking for dedicated professionals who want to make Germany more crisis-proof. We are looking for unlimited duration at the next time IT-Experts (m/w/d) for digital location products and data analysis Paying group 12 TVöD (Bund) in the Unit G.4 “Digitalization of Population Protection” at Bonn.

Digital Products – On the basis of individual request analyses, you develop interactive maps, web apps, dashboards and other applications together with demand carriers. Data management and analysis – You will develop a wide range of data sources, analyze data with and without spatial reference and prepare the results for addressing. GeoIT infrastructure – support the operation of our IT infrastructure in configuration, testing and technical development. Artificial intelligence – you evaluate how AI solutions can be used in the protection of the population in a multi-value manner and support the implementation of appropriate projects. Administrative cross-sectional tasks – you take over general administrative tasks, such as the initiation of procurement.

You have successfully completed a university degree (Bachelor/Diplom FH) with reference to data analysis, such as computer science, geoinformatics or a comparable degree course with a focus on information technology, or are close to its completion. You have already gained at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the IT sector. An application is also possible if you do not have the required degree of study or have less professional experience, but could nevertheless perform these tasks. Please note in this case the following notice*. You have profound knowledge of web technologies and the (automated) development and processing of data. You have experience in designing and implementing data-driven, interactive applications. You are thrilled with data and digital solutions and are characterized by curiosity, service affinity and a high level of learning. In addition, you have knowledge in at least one of the following areas: IT requirements management and administration of IT infrastructures Processing and analysis of remote sensing data Programming with script languages/alternative statistics/data analysis Methods of artificial intelligence

You have team player qualities and work in agile teams is fun. A very good expressiveness in German and English (German C 2/English B2 according to GER) completes your profile. Since our tasks are safety-relevant and event-oriented, we need your willingness to extend the safety review and to participate in the BBK crisis organisation. This may also include service at exceptional times.

Grouping by E 12 TVöD – We offer you an unlimited employment relationship according to E 12 TVöD. *For applicants without the required university degree or with less professional experience, the grouping – according to TVöD (Bund) – is usually lower. Application of officials – If you are in an official relationship, we will take you up to the A12 grade in the same status by means of a disorder with the aim of the transfer. In the presence of the individual requirements, we offer the takeover into an official relationship.
