As a specialist for media and information services with the department Library You can do all media related tasks such as rental, return or pre-order. You purchase books, magazines and other media, collect them on the PC, systemize them and care for the existing library stocks. In addition, you are responsible for the cataloging and development of the media and check the library resources. To do this, you use modern information and communication systems. Specialists for media and information services also take over all the work associated with the distribution. You will issue user IDs, advise library users and provide the desired media and information. You also perform administrative tasks or process reminders. You participate in the preparation and execution of exhibitions and events for the City Library in Wetzlar. Your entire training is characterized by great customer orientation.

Your training lasts three years. During this time you will visit the Stauffenberg vocational school and the Hessen administrative academy in Frankfurt am Main. To keep you up-to-date, you will participate in internal training by our trainers. At the city of Wetzlar you will be used in the city library. .
