Description The IT platform management & data center services department is responsible for the planning, operation and further development of BVG's central IT platforms. These include server, storage, virtualization and cloud environments, databases and underlying IT infrastructure and data centers. It provides a secure, stable and efficient IT landscape and thus provides the basis for reliable IT services throughout the company. Your tasks in detail: You plan, control and optimise the operation of our server, platform, database and monitoring systems and ensure high availability and stability of the IT infrastructure Together with internal departments, manufacturers and service providers, you plan and implement infrastructure and platform projects You actively shape the further development of our infrastructure by developing technical concepts, evaluating new technologies and defining architecture and operating standards You are responsible for release, patch and lifecycle management for central infrastructure systems and secure stable operation through careful testing and quality assurance measures You administrate and operate Windows server platforms, analyzes disturbances and performance bottlenecks and guides sustainable optimization measures Through monitoring, capacity planning and technical documentation, you are actively contributing to the stability and further development of our IT landscape
